We take our commitment to the environment very seriously. We value the land we live on and the food it allows us to produce. Below are the steps we have taken to assist with the preservation of Mother Earth:
PACKAGING - we aim to use as little as packaging as possible. We try to minimise the use of plastics and if there is any need for us to use them, we only use KIWIGREEN, a biodegradable plastic bag. All of our boxes are recycled each week, therefore we encourage all customers to return their boxes so that we mat use them again.
TRANSPORT - we have taken steps to offset our carbon footprint by using BioDiesel in all of our delivery vehicles. BioDiesel is made from recycled cooking oils from restaurants and hotels around Canterbury.
FOOD MILES - 80% of our produce are locally grown in Canterbury, therefore reducing food miles and carbon emissions.
PRINTING - Most of our printing are done on recycled paper
POWER SUPPLY - Our choice of electricity supplier is Meridian Energy and it is the largest electricity generator and the only energy provider with certified carbon neutral electricity and generating using only renewable resources.
